A
Abro (sexual and romantic)
A synonyms used to explain people who hold a fluid sexual and/or romantic orientation which changes over time, or the course of their life. They may use different terms to describe themselves over time.
Ace
An umbrella term used specifically to describe a lack of, varying, or occasional experiences of sexual attraction. This encompasses asexual people as skillfully as those who identify as demisexual and grey-sexual. Ace people who life romantic attraction or occasional sexual attraction might also employ terms such as gay, bi, woman loving woman, straight and homosexual in conjunction with asexual to explain the direction of their romantic or sexual attraction.
Ace and aro/ace and aro spectrum
Umbrella terms used to describe the wide group of people who life a lack of, varying, or occasional experiences of love-related and/or sexual attraction, including a lack of attraction. People who identify under these umbrella terms may describe themselves using one or more of a wide variety of terms, including, but not limited to, asexual, ace, aromantic, aro, demi, grey, and abro. New York Urban area Gay and Sapphic Anti-Violence Project
The New York City Anti-Violence Plan (AVP) is consecrated to eliminating loathe violence, sexual assault, stalking, and local violence in queer woman , gay, bisexual, gender diverse, queer, and HIV-affected communities through counseling, advocacy, organizing, and public education. AVP provides free and confidential assistance to lesbian, gay, attracted to both genders, transgender, queer, and HIV-affected (LGBTQH) people from all five boroughs of Novel York City. The organization maintains a 24-hour, Spanish/English bilingual hotline staffed by professional counselors and trained volunteers providing professional and peer support counseling, as well as lobbying with police, courts, and social service agencies.

Gay and Lesbian Studies
Gay and Lesbian Studies is by nature cross-disciplinary, covering a wide range of intellectual bases: literature, history, religion, psychology, sociology, philosophy, anthropology, medicine, law, fine arts, and others. Resources in this subject area may be found in nearly every division of the Research Libraries. This mentor offers multiple trajectories into this richly varied field.
Despite the presence of big numbers of homosexuals in New York City and other urban centers in the United States and throughout the world, their history has often been neglected or marginalized, a testimony to the inhibiting factors of legal restrictions on certain forms of sexual conduct, the lack of organization among queer men and lesbians, and the unwillingness of the larger society to identify the value and merit of different forms of erotic and affectional expression.

Alex– I identity with the lesbian label, as I’m not attracted to men, and am for the most part not a man myself! I reflect I may still fit under the bi umbrella as I am still attracted to more than one gender, but personally I feel comfortable under both the lesbian and bi label!
I’m asexual! It took me a while to realize that, I didn’t realise that asexual still left room for romantic attraction, if I knew I’m sure I’d have been prouder to identify as it sooner!
