Hugh Jackman's sexuality has been questioned throughout his career, but he and his now-ex-wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, were always willing to put the rumors to rest.

In 2013, the "X-Men" star, 54, told Australia's "60 Minutes" that he felt frustrated by the constant speculation, according to the Huffington Post.

"To me, anyway, it's not the most interesting thing about a person. "I'm frustrated for Deb, because I see Deb going, 'Oh, that's just crazy!'" he had stated.

Furness, 67, who was also present at the interview at the time, reportedly said: “If he was gay, adequately, he would say he is gay. It's annoying because it's not true."

In a separate interview with The Hollywood Reporter that same year, Jackman revealed that rumors of him being gay had begun to take a toll on his then-wife. PageSix.

"Only recently, it bothers her. She says, 'It's large. It's everywhere!", admitted the actor.

Jackman and Furness met in 1995 on the set of the Australian TV series Correlli and appeared to be happily married for nearly three decades.
