2 years ago it was confirmed Soldier 76 (Jack Morrison) is gay! At the hour of “Bastet” short story. Yet afterwards there has been only hush-hush and as far as I recall Soldier 76 has received no new story whatsoever for him since then. Does Blizzard propose to ignore this condition of Soldier 76 or will there be a retcon of Soldier 76’s biography for Overwatch 2 (maybe making “Bastet” non-canon or retcon Vincent as just a friend or “wild experience” of Jack Morrison) or a finalize omission?
Tracer has received new stories which film her lesbianism but Soldier 76 does not obtain the same treatment for his homosexuality. Make up your mind, Blizzard, Michael Chu is gone and eventually you will own to make a remain. Retcon or not?

The first two characters you meet when you play Overwatch are Soldier: 76 and Tracer - and now both of them have been revealed as LGBT.
Soldier: 76 is the latest to acquire been confirmed as gay in a short story by Michael Chu, the lead writer for the online game.
He's one of the most popular characters in the online shooter, which has millions of players worldwide.
Tracer, who players meet alongside Soldier: 76 in the game's tutorial, was confirmed as a gay character in 2016.
Ed Nightingale, a gay gamer from London, hopes acting for a "very macho, typically masculine character" as LGBT will help promote acceptance of LGBT people in other gamers.
"Gaming is a really powerful way of educating people," he tells Radio 1 Newsbeat.
"When you're playing through a game and not just watching or reading it, you are actively involved in it and therefore actively involved in a character that is so distinct from yourself - that has really great educational benefits."

Yesterday Blizzard released a novel short story digging into the lore of Overwatch called Bastet, and the thing that got everyone talking instantly was the part of the story where they revealed that Soldier 76, Jack Morrison, had previously been in a relationship with a character by the name of Vincent.
So obviously Jack is same-sex attracted. As expected, the scummy part of the Internet was suddenly in an uproar about this and how Blizzard is shoving their LGBTQ+ agenda down our throats and rabble rabble rabble.
Honestly, I couldn’t care less about someone’s sexual preference. Its got absolutely nothing to do with me, or anyone else, who someone chooses to love or have relations with. But I’m not happy about this discovery for one simple reason.
Jack Morrison being gay has ruined my ability to feel represented in the game. Me, a light heterosexual male feels ostracised in a videogame, that’s a rotate up for the books.

and first impression is important.
