List of Gay Celebrities Who Came Out in High School, loosely ranked by fame and popularity. Many gay celebrities wait to publicly come out until they have established their place in Hollywood. A few famous folks actually came out as queer when they were still in high school. This list includes some actors, musicians, and even a fashion designer.
Who is the most famous person who came out while young? Chris Colfer tops our list. "Struck by Lightning" writer/actor Chris Colfer is openly gay. He said that his parents were always accepting of him, but he was bullied at school. He has been an inspiration to teens all over the world with his portrayal of Kurt on “Glee.”

The Australian actor, who is 23, was spurred on to come out obeying the No vote campaign before queer marriage became legal in Australia.
